A quick one for this week, my first weigh-in since my travels home. 3 weeks without a weight loss progress check. How did I do? Well, I didn’t gain weight, but I’ve not done as well as I would have hoped!
First things first: The numbers
- Average daily calories (over the 3 week period): 2007.9
- Total daily calorie deficit:120.1
- Predicted weight loss for the past 3 weeks: 0.24lbs
Needless to say, I didn’t do as well as I could have with the meal plans whilst away. However, I didn’t overeat either so my calculations predict that I’ll stay roughly the same weight.
What did I actually lose?
1lb. A third of a pound per week. I’ll take it, but really I should be doing better by this point!
Weight loss total = 3.5lbs
3 and a half measly pounds in 8 long weeks. You know, I really thought that starting the blog would keep me on track – but let’s be honest, there’s not much inspiration in reading about someone who’s losing 0.44lbs per week.
I must say though, I really see a difference now. I bought size 14 clothes when back home in the UK last week (a size 10 for all you US folks), and it’s been a long time since I’ve been in a size 14!
So how’s this week been?
This week has been… quiet. I’ve kept mostly on track with food, but exercise has suffered a little. I’ve completed one gym session and two runs, one of which was today’s NYRR Jingle Bell Jog 4M (with 3.5M extra bonus running after the race)
Between now and Christmas, I have another couple of trips lined up for work and so the tracking will remain challenging. But I really need to be trying harder. Tomorrow I’m off to France for a few days, so my focus for this week is to find some time (and a local gym!) to keep up my training before next week’s 15k (and my final NYC marathon qualifier!!)
Have a great week everyone!
